Building Mechanics

Building shelter is key to survival, protecting you from the elements and predators.

Construction Systems

There are three distinct building systems:

  1. Basic Shelter: Simple survival shelter.
  2. Modular Housing: Building cabins/houses from parts on the grid.
  3. Camp Defense: Building standalone defenses to protect against raids.

Simple Structures

Camp Defense

Defensive structures placed to protect the camp location (e.g. from bandit raids).

Modular Building Parts (Housing)

Used to construct Cabins for warmth, storage, and safety. Building a complete house requires framing and valid support (e.g. Roof needs Rafters, Walls need anchors).
