Site Types

The game features several categories of discoverable sites:

Points of Interest (POIs)

Unique locations discovered during exploration that offer significant rewards, tools, or shelter.

  • Count: 36 different POI types
  • Discovery: Found randomly during travel based on biome
  • Varieties: Hunter camps, ruins, workshops, fishing shacks, ranger stations, mines, hot springs, cave formations, wrecked structures, and more

Settlements

Enclaves of civilization that form dynamically as the game progresses.

  • Formation: Small chance to form daily after Day 20 (max 5 per world)
  • Features: Trading, quests, NPC crafting, healers, reputation system
  • Population: 3-8 NPCs with various roles (Trader, Healer, Scout, Farmer, Craftsman, Guard)
  • Discovery: May hear rumors before finding; discovered settlements appear on map

Bandit Camps

Hostile territories controlled by raiders.

  • Threat: Can raid your settlement if within 15 tiles
  • Combat: Armed bandits with varying stats and equipment
  • Rewards: Individual kill drops (70% chance) and camp victory loot stockpiles
  • Clearing: Reduce camp strength to 0; respawns ~25 days after cleared

Caves

Subterranean networks offering shelter and resources.

  • Discovery: ~35% in mountains, ~15% in other biomes
  • Requirements: Light source mandatory (Torch, Lantern, Flashlight)
  • Depth: Randomly 10-25 levels
  • Resources: Water, stone, salt, mushrooms, minerals (depth 7+), gems (depth 7+)
  • Dangers: Cave bears (chance scales with depth), environmental hazards

Random Encounters

In addition to fixed sites, the game features 30+ random events that occur during travel or exploration, providing resources or dangers.
