Time & Environment
Survival is dictated by the passage of time through your actions.
Time System
Action-Based Time Passage
- Time only passes when you perform actions
- Each action consumes a specific number of hours
- Examples:
- Movement: 1 hour
- Gathering/Fishing/Hunting: 1-3 hours
- Crafting: 1-6 hours depending on item complexity
- Rest: 8 hours
- Sleep: 8 hours
Resource Management
Survival Needs (Drain Per Hour)
- Hunger: -0.25% per hour
- Thirst: -0.25% per hour
- Warmth: -0.35% per hour (baseline)
- Hygiene: -0.04% per hour
Fire Mechanics
- Warmth Gain: +25% per hour from active fire
- Maximum Duration: 18 hours
- Fires must be maintained with fuel
Fatigue System
Every action costs fatigue. Rest or sleep to recover.
Fatigue Costs (examples):
- Movement: +0.25
- Gathering/Basic crafts: +0.25
- Fishing/Hunting: +0.75
- Complex crafting: +0.5 to +0.8
- Exploration: +2.0
Fatigue Recovery:
- Rest (8 hours): -20 fatigue
- Sleep (8 hours): -40 fatigue
Notes
NOTE
There is no day/night cycle, seasonal system, or weather system currently implemented. Time passage is purely action-based and environmental conditions are static per biome.
