Season Mechanics

The game features a full seasonal cycle that affects resource availability, weather, and survival challenges.

Cycle

A year consists of 360 days, divided into four seasons of 90 days each.

Season Days (Yearly Cycle) Description
Spring 1 - 89 Mild weather, nature awakening. Maple sap and fresh greens available.
Summer 90 - 179 Warm, abundant food (berries, insects), high thirst drain.
Autumn 180 - 269 Cooling down, harvest time (nuts, mushrooms), preparation for winter.
Winter 270 - 359 Cold, scarce resources, high demand on warmth and food reserves.

Many resources are only available during specific seasons. Plan your gathering and storage accordingly.

Most insects (Beetles, Grubs, Worms, Crickets) are available from Spring to Autumn.

River Weed / Cress Spring to Autumn.

Farming

Crops have specific planting seasons. You must plant seeds during their viable seasons for them to grow.

  • Greenhouses allow planting out of season.

  • Winter Start: A challenge scenario where you begin in Winter (Day 270) with harsh conditions but receive a +30% score bonus.
